The project aims at developing an IWRM concept on local scale for Hoa Bac commune and implementing some of the proposed measures.

In this way, a pilot case will be created that will help local implementation of integrated water resources management in similar locations. Furthermore the local experience in Hoa Bac will produce valuable input for the for IWRM planning on provincial scale (development of the decision support system).

Experience from implementation of selected measures will help to improve or – if necessary – correct the developed IWRM concept.

German providers of water treatment technology will have the opportunity to test and adapt their products to make them more suitable to the local conditions in rural Lam Dong.

Frequent workshops and trainings will allow sharing experience with the other subprojects and improving the capacity of local partners.
