BMBF/Project Agency FZK

The German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funds IWRM research projects as part of its framework program “Research for Sustainability.”

BMBF is also responsible for scientific and technological cooperation between Germany and Vietnam. Since 1996 this cooperation has developed very dynamically and Vietnamis now one of BMBF’s priority partners in Asia. German-Vietnamese cooperation focuses on the following issues:

  •  Environmental research and environmental technology
  •  Biotechnology
  •  Research management.

The Project Agency for Water Technology and Waste Management (PTKA-WTE) at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe in Germanyfunds and manages research and development projects on behalf of the BMBF and other ministries. The agency is responsible for managing the research project IWRM-Vietnam.
